Learn more about how to influence change in organisations through advocacy.

Change is influenced from many quarters. Consumers and carers bring their own perspective to the requirements for change, as do service providers, administrators and a range of concerned individuals.

Some of the time, the objectives of all the players appear to be the same. Where this happens, opportunities exist for collective action. Recognising that there are certain individuals within the organisation who can help bring about change is the first step.

Lived Experience Australia acknowledges the Traditional Owners of all the lands on which we undertake our advocacy.

We pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging.

We also recognise all those with lived experience of mental ill-health. We acknowledge that we can only provide leadership in systemic advocacy through valuing, respecting, and drawing upon their lived experience expertise and knowledge.

We acknowledge their enormous contribution to our work.
