Service Description

Inspirational and effective advocacy that leads to real change is why we get out of bed each day. Being heard in our advocacy efforts is often a challenge as we fight for the protection and safety of people in our communities at their most vulnerable times. Being able to frame a message in a way that is persuasive and motivates change is a skill that can be learnt. This masterclass provides attendees with some basic tools on how to frame an advocacy message, the importance on the use of lived experience stories, and the significance of positive messaging. In the first workshop you will gain tools and knowledge to support your advocacy message. Then you will have 2 weeks to undertake a practical task in advocacy writing with feedback provided by our facilitators. In the second workshop you will have the opportunity to share and learn with your peers. Facilitated by: De Backman Hoyle and Heather Nowak Local workshop times are: 12.00pm - 2.00pm VIC, NSW, ACT, QLD, TAS 11.30am - 1.30pm SA, NT 10.00am - 12.00pm WA
